Terms of Service
Last updated November 2, 2026
Shortifi is a free tool for making long URLs easier to share. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
1. Accepting these terms
By using Shortifi (the “service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What Shortifi does
Shortifi converts public web addresses into shorter links and generates QR codes for those links. The service is free, requires no account, and is supported by advertising. Every short link expires 30 days after it is created.
We do not guarantee that a short link will remain available for the full 30 days. We may remove any link at any time if we believe it violates these terms, creates a security risk, or is required by law.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Shortifi to create links to:
- malware, phishing pages, scams, or other fraudulent content;
- content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction where Shortifi is operated;
- content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights;
- child sexual abuse material or content that sexualizes minors;
- spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or deceptive redirects;
- private network addresses, localhost, or services that are not publicly accessible.
You also agree not to overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass the security or rate limits of the service.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the destination URLs you submit and for how you share the resulting links. Shortifi does not review every destination and does not endorse any third-party site. Because no account is required, we may not be able to verify who created a particular link.
If you share a QR code or short link publicly, anyone who scans or clicks it will be sent to the destination URL. Do not use Shortifi to hide the true destination of a link from people who need to know it.
5. Expiry and deletion
Short links expire automatically after 30 days. Expired links cannot be restored or renewed. We may also delete links earlier for legal, security, or operational reasons. There is no account, so there is no self-service restore or delete function.
6. Ads and third-party services
Shortifi may display advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads and the technologies they use are governed by the advertiser’s and ad network’s own policies. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third-party sites, including sites you reach through a short link or an ad.
7. Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Shortifi at any time, including features such as QR codes or custom link formats. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we are not obliged to do so.
8. Intellectual property
Shortifi’s name, design, and original code are owned by the service operator and are protected by applicable law. You keep ownership of the URLs and content you submit. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and redirect those URLs and to display the resulting short links and QR codes.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shortifi is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every short link will resolve correctly.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shortifi and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us (which may be zero) or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shortifi and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shortifi is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
